Red Flags in a Relationship
Relationships bring together unique individuals. We all have our own passions, priorities, personalities, needs, and desires. Regardless of the relationship, there are some red flags that serve to ‘warn’ us that attitudes or behaviors are not healthy. Here are just a few red flags to be aware of:
● Feeling hesitant or afraid to share your thoughts or feelings
● If you make a mistake your partner mocks, shames, or humiliates you
● Being compared to someone else or someone else’s partner consistently
● Being expected to trust your partner while they question your loyalty or faithfulness consistently
● Your partner makes you feel guilty for being hurt by something they did or said.
● Apologies that are general (ie I’m sorry your feelings were hurt) and no change to behavior.
● Isolating you from friends or family
