Grounding Techniques

1.       Golden Energy Cord connecting you to the sky above you and earth below you

2.       Pressing the heals into the floor

3.       Feeling the texture of the furniture around you

4.       Feeling the trunk of a tree, or dirt, or a stone in one’s hand

5.       The smell of cedar, sage or lavender

6.       Counting red objects in the room

7.       Tasting salt

8.       Petting an animal

9.       Saying mantra or positive affirmation

10.   Put hands in water

11.   Drink or eat something

12.   Take 3 deep breathes

13.   Take short walk

14.   Hold piece ice

15.   Smell scent that you enjoy

18.   Working backward from 5, use your senses to list things you notice around you. For example, you might start by listing five things you hear, then four things you see, then three things you can touch from where you’re sitting, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste.
